I have a very bad experience with the money store, and as well as a lady I referred to the money store loan officer Alvin Guo. it can't be twice bad experience in a roll. Long story for short. the money store mortgage broker told me he can give me a rate 2.7% 30 fixed with no closing cost and no point. due to the company unable to do the loan in time, and wast my best time to do my refi and the mortgage broker broke his promise, I request my money back

Need payoff for deceased brother's home

2 weeks dealing with Stacy, Marcus and Lorina, Still unable to get the mortgage payoff to close sale of my deceased brother's property. They insisted on "originals" on all needed forms, I sent them 2-day Priority, and it sat there for 7 days until I called to check, no one had processed the forms into the system. NOW, they insist we fill out Successors forms

Frustrated with their service

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
We just refinanced through The Money Store. It was a streamline refi. We had to pay $570 for the appraisal and cannot even get a copy of the appraisal. We where told there will be no mortgage payment for February, 2021 (recv'd email) but Amerihome (previous company) withdrew mortgage. My wife has spent countless hours with Amerihome and they send us a check for $.08 cents. They are supposedly still reviewing after 3 weeks. My wife emailed Rachel at the Money Store, the Thousand Oaks, CA office couple of times, no reply. As she had emailed us we should not be paying February installment. Why are we spending countless hours when The Money Store messed up. I would not recommend The Money Store.

I had the same frustrating experience. It took us over three months and we still could not close.

Terrible Service and communication. Unwilling to work efficiently.

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Their refinancing process took an extremely long time. It's impossible to communicate with the management, and is very disorganized. Even after multiple months it was still not finished. Our time and resources were unreasonably wasted and it caused us a lot of stress and frustration. I absolutely DON'T recommend using this company ever.

3 weeks of wasted time and energy

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
So my Experian credit score is 799, I've never missed a payment in my life, and the "Money Store" denied me for a simple home mortgage refinance because my "Debt-to-income" ratio was too high. Apparently because they don't know how to read a 1040 form. Added to that, they never communicated with me through the process as to updates, etc. I spent hours sending them various documents - tax returns, mortgage statements, insurance proof, W2s, bank statements, etc. Gave them everything they asked for. So they walk you through how easy everything is going to be, but be warned: If for some reason it is a bit more complicated than they prefer, they will just decide not to screw with you and move on. Throughout the process, I never heard a peep until I got the ominous "Notice of Adverse Decision" encrypted (how appropriate) email. These guys are a joke. Don't waste your time.

Do not recommend

My experience was with the Northern Virginia branch. Very difficult to get in contact with; poor communication skills within their company and with their clients. Does not take ownership for their mistakes and they are poor problem solvers. I will not recommend this lender to any of my customers moving forward, in fact, I will strongly discourage any future customers from using this lender. This is a bad lender. If you are planning on purchasing a home, ask your realtor for a local lender recommendation. They know which ones are competent in their market and most likely already have a rapport with them. There are some very good lenders out there. No reason to settle for poor service.

I am the sellers agent in Sarasota Fl and after 2 weeks of extensions plus a very low appraisal from their appraiser, and NO communication from them with title company; we finally receive the CDC; and it is incorrect! From this day forward, I will always ask buyers their lender and if it turns out to be The Money Store; we will refuse the offer! This has been the WORST experience in over 20 years of RE experience!

I have been PAYING through the nose that some kids that pawned my title for the Saturn Vue 3 years ago and getting NO help from them to pay on it and now I don't have any money they want it more. I don't have a job now and having to pay $700 rent plus utilities and medicine is more than I can handle right now. Why don't you just go after a dead man or a brat pretending to be Bobby Iden (James E Wilkins) if can find the dead beat drug addict. He and his wife claimed they would pay for it and here it is been 3 years and I haven't seen them or one red dime from them. So don't keep bugging me about the money or the car I don't have

Jay Boetscher, The Rehabman: Worst Loan Officer

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I went with Jay Boetscher, whose real name is John Benedict Boetscher of The Money Store and also goes by MLD Mortgage after talking with Vince Liguori and Michael Doerr. Jay Boetscher, Vince Liguori, and Mike Doerr are the most incompetent loan officers around where Jay Boetscher, Vince Liguori and Michael Doerr should not even be in the business. Jay Boetscher calls himself the Rehabman which is a total joke. His stuttering is enough to drive you anyone crazy. Vincent Ted Liguori is a real wanna be who does not know anything about the mortgage business and is one of the most incompetent people I have ever met. Michael Doerr does not return phone calls and the way he snorts when he talks seems like he is snorting coke. They responded to my request for a quote from the most false FHA 203k course they taught. A total joke. Although many others offered the same rate, they promised to beat any fees another lending gave me and said they would close in 30 days. They were smooth talkers and delivered nothing but a nightmare.

I'm a Senior VP at a financial services company and know this industry. I obtained all the legal documentation needed. I had an unlimited rate lock and a GFE. I spent $475 getting an appraisal as well as the $1600 I lost in interest over the eight months it took them to not close.

I contacted them every other day for nearly five months and kept receiving the reponse my loan was in underwriting and Illinois is different. They finally quit responding. I filed a BBB complaint and after 90 days of not responding, they finally responded telling me they would give me the rate, but I was going to have to pay 2% of my loan to get that rate. It was over $5000 in fees at this point.

Seth Kreiner from their law firm Kreiner and Kreiner explained to me they were not going to loose money on the deal. He was not willing to cooperate or give me any compensation for my loss. I did contact a lawyer and he did tell me I had a case, but by the time I paid him, it would not be worth the time or effort.

Breach of contract! Run from MLD Mortgage and The Money Store and Jay Boetscher, Vince Liguori, and Michael Doerr. You also have this clown by the name of Joseph Michael Savino who goes by Joe Savino and is the branch manager of Directors Financial Group and Jay Boetscher calls him his partner. I gave them over six months for them to respond to me and now I will be letting anyone I know about this experience so they are sure they do not work with MLD Mortgage or The Money Store and stay aware from Jay Boetscher who goes by The Rehabman, Vince Liguori who has probably never taken a shower all year, and Michael Doerr who is a coke head, and Joe Savino. These guys are shysters and are up to no good and should be indicted for mortgage fraud.

Unfortunately I have to respond to another one of these anonymous complaints filed by two former employees. It's a complete fabrication and not based in any facts at all.

If it were a true complaint it would not be from anonymous. These two have been doing this for nearly two years and I reported them to the legal counsel at two companies they were fired for for their efforts. They both have an alcohol and prescription drug addiction. One is a foreign national being investigated by the FBI.

The other has worked and been let go from at least ten companies. I have always wished them both nothing but the best.

I hope they get a hold of their lives and tackle their addictions. If not I'm afraid they'll be lost forever.

This is a made up story. Completely untrue and intended to be harmful to me and my family.

Please note all the complaints and comments appearing on this website against me are from anonymous sources. The reason is because they are untrue. All my posts and comments are sent by me from me. The anonymous poster is most likely a former employee with a severe drug and alcohol problem.

Here's to hoping that he gets the help he needs.

He was once a friend. I wish him nothing but the best and a full recovery.

Larnell Rfc

Not sure how my comment was deleted but I think it's important to understand it was written by a disgruntled former employee. I'm not mentioning his name because I believe he's still a friend.

He has a severe drug and alcohol problem and is lashing out at people that he believes in his drug induced derangement have done him wrong. I spoke to the head council at the company he currently is employed at and let them know the situation. I explained he is not a bad person but needs professional help. I suggested a 30 day detox and and 30 days in a counseling facility.

I believe he would come out more like the friend I use to know. God bless you my friend.

Julyssa Ndb

This is a client named Puale Cauli. SHE IS AN ***, and deals with another *** named Gustan Cho of GustanCHO.com and his fake Zillow ratings.

I or Jay Boetscher were not the loan officers on this transaction.

I only talked to her because she claimed no one explained her closing costs and her friend got a better deal eslewhere.

Then she wanted to extort the company for more free stuff.

She told me she just got divorced, and I know why. She is a nut.

The Money Store - Customer Care Review

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I referred a family member to a mortgage broker from The Money Store that I worked with whom I will not name. I was very involved in helping her find the house and as previously stated helping her find a mortgage lender. She struggled with them for FOUR MONTHS I have never seen a closing take this long. They asked her for documents several times which is to be expected. They gave her 3 closing dates. The first date everyone met up to sign the papers the bank was unreachable, when they were finally able to get in touch with them they gave another closing date for 3 days later. When that date came they claimed there was a power outage and could not get the papers sent over. At this point all other documents had been signed the keys had been handed over. The next closing date was given it came and went again the bank mysteriously disappeared and were unreachable. It wasn't until my aunts lawyer emailed the bank threatening to sue them because she was at risk of losing her deposit because the homeowners where going to put the house back on the market that they came back saying she now needed a cosigner. To say we were livid is an understatement. Up to now nothing has been resolved this is the worst bank EVER and I am beyond embarrassed having been the one who made the referral. As is stands my aunt will likely lose her deposit and having wasted 4 months may not even be able to purchase a home at all.
